This trip has been so popular in the past that we are bringing it back! Join Chris Rankin at the Jocelyn Nungaray National Wildlife Refuge (formerly Anahuac National Wildlife Refuge) near Anahuac, Texas, to explore Wildlife Photography from A Car.
Location: Established in 1963, Jocelyn Nungaray NWR’s primary focus is to protect and manage the coastal marsh for migrating, wintering and breeding waterfowl.
What to Expect: Chris will introduce you to photographing wildlife from a car/truck while exploring the beauty and diversity of the Jocelyn Nungaray National Wildlife Reserve. We will discuss strategies, techniques and equipment of photographing from a vehicle and implement those strategies as we explore Shoveler Pond, a 2.5 mile Auto-Tour loop. We will also talk about opportunities for landscape photography in the marsh and the bay areas.
What to Bring & Equipment Needed: Water, snacks, sunscreen, insect repellent, and wear closed-toed walking shoes. Recommended equipment includes 300mmlens or larger and a wide angle for landscape.
