In this trip, participants visit an excellent pollinator garden to learn hands-on techniques to produce creative photos of the garden and its residents.
What to Expect: To simplify the process of photographing pollinators and flowers, Ruth demonstrates, instructs and guides participants while covering camera and lens settings; Shutter speed, ISO, Aperture (f/stop), and more. Participants will also learn how to use current technology to their advantage and helpful equipment and accessories to improve results.
What to Bring & Equipment Needed: Hat, water, snacks, sunscreen, insect repellent, and hand wipes (to remove sunscreen and insect repellent from your hands). Suggested equipment includes digital SLR or mirrorless camera with lenses from 24 to 300mm (shorter lens for wider views and telephoto and/or longer macro lens for close-up photos), sturdy tripod (preferred) or monopod, lens cleaning cloth, and camera bag/backpack to keep gear organized.
