Join Ruth Hoyt for this indoor session\, where she demonstrates techniques for setting up an outdoor photo studio specifically for bird photography. \nWhat to Expect:  Ruth shares some of the tips and techniques she uses when consulting with ranch owners who want to build photo blinds for photography — what we want (photographs) and what the subjects need (food\, water\, shelter\, and a place to rear their young). \nHer slide show demonstrates how she attracts a variety of species to a photo area and prepares photographers for some specialty birds and surprise visitors\, as well as details she includes in photo areas\, such as water sources\, foods to offer\, and a key ingredient — having fun! \nWhat to Bring & Equipment Needed:  This is a workshop.  No special equipment is needed. \nImportant Information:  This is a workshop which will take place at FeatherFest Headquarters. \nAbout Ruth Hoyt \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

DESCRIPTION: \n#cmsms_row_69d769727ee34 .cmsms_row_outer_parent { \n	padding-top: 0px; \n} \n\n#cmsms_row_69d769727ee34 .cmsms_row_outer_parent { \n	padding-bottom: 50px; \n} \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n    \nIn this workshop\, you will learn how to work in different lighting conditions to get the best results\, how to select the best photos from what you created (focus\, wing position\, flight direction\, body position\, etc.)\, and how to anticipate behavior before you take the shot. Kathy will also cover the use of slow shutter speeds to create interesting and effective action shots. \nWhat to Expect:  Kathy will teach participants about the various focusing features on modern mirrorless cameras and DLSR cameras. She’ll explain why it is important to select the proper ISO\, shutter speed\, and focus points to capture the perfect image.
