DESCRIPTION:\n\n\n\n\n\n\n    \nSan Luis Pass encompasses a series of beaches located on the west end of Galveston Island. The mud flats and dunes hold a wide variety of photo opportunities for area birds. \nWhat to Expect:  During this field trip\, you will visit specific locations based on light\, wind\, tides and availability of birds. \nWhat to Bring & Equipment Needed:  hat\, towel\, water sandals\, water\, snacks\, sunscreen\, insect repellent\, and hand wipes (to remove sunscreen\, insect repellent from your hands)\, and wear closed toed-walking shoes.  With regards to equipment\, suggested equipment includes camera with a 300mm or greater lens\, 1.4x or 2.0x extender for added magnification\, flash\, tripod\, and small camera bag. \nImportant Information:  This is a meet-at-site trip.
