The Pleasure Pier is one of Galveston’s top attractions. A giant Ferris wheel and roller coaster dominate the pier that extends into the Gulf of Mexico. From nearby jetties, participants will photograph the setting sun and twilight sky. From under the rides, we’ll photograph lights in motion and stretch our creativity. We will not be going on to the Pleasure Pier for this event. This photography field trip is a FeatherFest favorite!
Suggested Equipment: Camera, tripod, wide angle lens.
Note: The jetties can be very slippery so please wear appropriate footwear.
Bring: water, snacks, bug spray
This is a meet-at-site trip. Driving directions will be emailed prior to the trip.
