SUMMARY:📷Nature Photography from a Kayak
DESCRIPTION:\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \nGalveston Island State Park is the site of this delightful\, natural experience.  Enjoy paddling in a provided kayak while slowly exploring the marshes of Galveston Island State Park\, one of the area’s premier ecological jewels. This 2\,000-acre public park offers a multitude of habitats that support a wide variety of birds like herons\, egrets\, Roseate Spoonbill\, shorebirds and possible overhead raptors like osprey looking for prey. \nWhat to Expect:  Chris will introduce you to photographing wildlife from a kayak.  Most of the kayaks are two-seaters so if you come with someone\, you will be paired together. Single kayaks are for those who are attending on their own.  You will be required to wear a life jacket\, which will be provided.  Be ready to get a bit muddy \nWhat to Bring & Equipment Needed:  Guests are advised to wear sunscreen\, and fingerless cycling gloves. Closed-toe marsh booties or lace-up shoes that will stay on your feet are REQUIRED – NO FLIP FLOPS. Be ready to get a bit muddy\, and bring a water-proof bag for your camera gear. You might also bring drinking water\, snacks\, and insect repellent.  With regards to equipment\, it is suggested to bring digital SLR camera with a 300mm lens or greater and dry bag/camera bag/back pack to keep gear organized in the boat. \nImportant Information:  This is a meet-at-site trip. Driving directions will be emailed prior to the trip.  If you’re coming from the East End of the Island or downtown Galveston\, please allow 30 minutes to drive to the park. \nAbout Chris Rankin \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
