Come walk with Hector and take a photo tour of the Historic Strand District as Galveston Island wakes up! This area filled with historic buildings is ideal for wide angle shooting of turn of the century architecture as well as vignette shooting of features with your longer lens. We will capture these buildings in ways to illustrate the history of Galveston as City and as a port. We will meet to begin our walk on the north end of the Strand to take full advantage of the morning light. Meeting location and directions will be emailed to you prior to the festival.
Must be able to walk approximately 8 to 10 city block on sidewalks.
Suggested equipment: Tripod for long exposures, DSLR or Mirrorless camera that allows standard photography settings, a remote shutter release, lenses choices might be 18-55mm, 70-200mm, 35mm, 50mm, and similar personal preferences.
