Advance registration online, by mail, by fax and by phone is now closed except for the Raptors Uncorked! event.

Walk-in registration begins Wednesday, April 6, at 4 p.m. at the Registration Desk in the Butterowe Bldg. just north of Saengerfest Park, 23rd and The Strand in downtown Galveston. Click here to see which events have openings as of April 3 and to register online for Raptors Uncorked!

General Information

When You Arrive: All registrants must check in at the Registration Desk at FeatherFest Headquarters before their first event. If your first field trip is early, please check in the day before.

Onsite Registration Location: Registration will be in the historic Butterowe Building, and the main festival entrance is just north of Saengerfest Park, 2310 The Strand in downtown Galveston. The map link that follows takes you to the park, which is the best way to go since it’s steps away from the festival headquarters door. Bass Shoe Outlet used to be in this location. Registration will be open Wednesday afternoon, April 6, for the convenience of those attending early trips the next day. Registration days and hours are:

FeatherFest Headquarters is in the adjacent building to the left of Maggie Rita’s. The bricked pavement in front is part of Saengerfest Park.		Saengerfest Park and The Strand from FeatherFest Headquarters main entrance.

Fee Structure: A one-time $25 registration fee is required. Individual fees for Field Trips and Seminars are noted on the Field Trip and Seminar description pages. A number of events are free.

Planning Your Itinerary: For a reference list of festival activities by day and time, click on the Event Schedule button under the round yellow logo on the left side of the page. This chart shows the time span for all programs, and may help you outline your itinerary before you get into the registration process.

Children: Please confer with the Registration Team at 832.459.5533 for the best trips for your youngster to attend. As birders understand, some trips can be long, tiring and test the stamina of young children. Many outings require birders to proceed with stealth and be able to listen to quiet whisperings of the leader. Children are welcome at FeatherFest and we’ll help you complete a schedule just for them.

Cancellations and Refunds: Galveston FeatherFest organizers reserve the right to cancel events for any reason or to substitute qualified presenters or trip leaders when necessary. If Festival organizers must cancel an event, a full refund will be issued, unless otherwise noted. Water-based field trips are more affected by weather conditions than others. Every effort will be made to place participants in an alternate event, in which case refunds will not be given. If an alternate event is not available, a full refund will be given upon request prior to the end of the festival, at the Registration desk.

We hope you don’t have to cancel your registration, but if you do, FeatherFest will refund 100% of the registration costs less the registration fee through March 25; 50% of total less registration fee through April 1; and there will be no refunds beginning April 2.
