tony-frankTony grew up in the Houston area, went to U of H, and currently lives in Houston.  He has been birding the great state of Texas since he started birding in 1985.  He has traveled to all 50 states.  He has an ABA list of well over 700 species and a Texas list that tops 580.  He and his wife have started birding internationally, especially in South America.  He also likes hiking and completed the 4-day Inca Trail to Machu Picchu in Sept. 2014.  He has visited the city at the “end of the world” and got to see3 species of his daughter’s favorite bird – penguin.  He complied the Ornithology Group of Houston Spoonbill Clearing House with his wife for several years from the late 80’s to the mid 90’s.  He has led many local field trips and this is his ninth year leading at FeatherFest.
