Meet Tim O’Connell. He’s holding an American Oystercatcher that was banded on the preserve for ongoing research. Tim is a lifelong birdwatcher and a Texas Master Naturalist. He resides in Hitchcock, Texas. For the past 5 years, he has worked as a Preserve Steward at The Texas City Prairie Preserve for The Nature Conservancy of Texas. The group will travel by bus to the Nature Conservancy’s Texas City Prairie Preserve. This 2,300 acre preserve offers a combination of grassland, wetland, and coastal habitats where a diversity of birds can be seen in one trip.
